We start out in Lermoos on the link road - direction Biberwier - and ride uphill through the village, until we turn right near the "Hotel Alpina" at the turnoff into the "Bachtal". We then follow the signposts towards "Loisachquellen", "Mittersee" and "Blindsee". After going under the bypass road near the southern tunnel portal, we ride along the "Blindseeweg" past the springs of the River Loisach, which are slightly away from the path, to the "Blindsee" and then on to the "Römerweg". We then follow the Römerweg (Roman road) to the right, in the direction of the Fernpass. Shortly after the Fernpass (the highest point is only accessible by the pass road) we cross the main state road and, a short distance downhill, a detour takes us to the Lake and the "Schloss Fernsteinsee" hotel (970 m).
On the way back we first follow the "Römerweg" and then the "Lärchenweg", until we reach Biberwier again. From Biberwier down into the Moos, and from there, several cycling and hiking trails lead back to Lermoos.
